Double Trouble

My laptop stopped charging through these.  The ones on the other side were fine.  It's only 3 months old so Dell sent someone out to repair it, which required replacement of the motherboard.

Once the engineer left I couldn't get the fingerprint reader to work, so I tried rebooting.  The machine wouldn't back on after shutting down.  Power button not working.  I eventually found a way to prod it into waking up (hold the M key while plugging in the power supply, putting it in to diagnostic mode after which it will start.  Then it became apparent that as well as the power button not working it had terrible wifi.  The charging ports work, but other stuff now doesn't.  On closer examination the case isn't properly closed either - there's a gap at the front near the power LED.  Now waiting for another service visit to put it right.  I bet it's connectors.  It's always connectors.  The technician even said the wifi antenna connector was fiddly, and I checked and the power button has a separate connector all of its own.  Hopefully that means it's an easy fix when they eventually get an engineer to me...
