Tasmaninan Common Heath (Epacris Impressa)

The rain finally stopped this afternoon (Some parts of tasmania have had a foot of rain in the last 48hrs) and I got out briefly to a patch of local bush where I took pictures of a few plants.

This one was growing in a habit similar to heather but had broader leaves ending in a sharp spike. Much to my surprise, I found by googling that it actually is related to heathers and it is called 'Tasmaninan Common Heath' (Epacris Impressa). It flowers in autumn and winter.
