Peacock Worm

This wonderful animal is a Peacock Worm. They feed by catching passing bits and bobs in their "feathers". They are incredibly sensitive to pressure changes in the water & it's not unusual to see a whole wall of them suddenly disappear as you approach. Or to get a photo nicely set up, then find you just have a dull looking tube in the frame.

We dived the wreck of the Hispania this morning. Inside the holds there is little current, perfect conditions for Peacock Worms.
