The excitement has gone

Thankfully.

Just to the side of one of my regular routes is this property. It is occupied by one or more men who belong to an organisation called The Coalition of Fathers, formed to advocate for men's rights in the Family Courts. My first actual contact with anyone from this organisation was when asked to provide a report to the Court about a particular father, who with the subtle, and at times not so subtle, provocation from then head of the organisation intermittently made my life exciting; particularly when in one of his protests against the system he undertook a shouting demonstration on the street in front of where my office is located, culminating in burning a New Zealand flag.

The various signs say it almost. There is much much more. The group believe that they are true New Zealanders, basing their loyalty to a settler led rapport between settlers and Maori in 1835 which agreement led to Tiriti o Waitangi (The Treaty of Waitangi, New Zealand's founding document) as th British Government hastened to re assert its dominance. The rest of us are not.

The black and red rectangle is a take off of a long standing series of advertisements for a brand of beer; the Tui ads. The red bit contains the words "Yeah, right!". The real ads take topical issues and treat them humorously.

This is my second entry in this weeks challenge; this one for the welcome loss of excitement.
