Kitchen Detail

Cleaning the new flat today, and took this detail to share with those who expressed an interest (and sent moral support!) during the reforms. It is very much a larder kitchen with the same sequence of tiles repeated above, and two open black granite shelves. Below is open as well with one shelf, the green tiles and the beige floor tiles forming a little raised platform (vey similiar in tone to the beige wall tiles). The funny thing on the wall is the water filter plumbed directly into the mains which saves on all the lugging and plastic involved in consuming bottles of mineral water.

And thank you for all your empathetic responses to yesterday's shot. It was quite an emotional day for me alone here in Rio reading the papers and seeing such terrible grief and anguish in the photographs; your 'company' meant a lot.
