Support your local corner shop!

Having been without a car for an extended period has reminded me of the importance of local shops, and their prices are not necessarily higher than the supermarkets. Unfortunately, my corner shop is suffering just now from a big drop in passing trade because of a road closure for extended works which could possibly have been handled better with more thought for the local economy.
