OMG it's early

Another tricky shot to capture. It's very early in the morning and the sun is still very low. As you can see it's just catching the very top of the waterfall, with the rest of it in shadow. I wanted to try a reasonably long exposure for a cliched blurry water effect but had to compromise on that a bit since I had no tripod and was feeling a bit 'pre-breakfast wobbly'.

The pool below the falls is big enough for swimming so Mr B insisted on dragging the kids in for a dip (well, with no working showers at the hotel they have to get clean somehow...) It was freezing. Don't worry, we plied them with hot pancakes later to make up for it.
