Queen Anne's Lace

Monday
Jen had been searching the internet for somewhere different for us to spend the day and the place we chose was Boone County Arboretum in Kentucky. It was late morning before we got off - waiting for Philip as usual! We stopped on the way for lunch at a crepe place Jen had wanted to try. The Boone County Arboretum is an unusual concept, incorporating the arboretum within an active recreation park setting - the specialized arrangements of plant families and athletic fields being connected by a winding multi-use trail. It wasn't anything spectacular, but it made a change from our usual haunts. I think it would probably be at its best in the Spring, as it has a lot of flowering trees and shrubs.
