Rippless

The Forth looked like it had been turtle waxed this afternoon, with hardly a ripple daring to show face. I scrambled through fences and up on to concrete blocks to listen to the gulls and take in the views, away from the crowd who appeared with a picnic culled from the McDonalds menu. It was absolutely reeking of something nasty over here though and the silence was soon broken with the dull dunt of a diesel engine as the boat here conspired to spoil my blip opportunity. Ah well.

It was good to snatch a brief bit of peace an quiet after an otherwise busy day starting off our first intake of students in the new college campus. Really good to have a buzz about the place and take the building for a bit of a test run before the place winds up to full speed next week.

There's lots of bare walls around the building just now but one of our talented ex-students is being commissioned to provide some artwork for the place and we spent some time today confusing everyone by hanging up blanks sheets of paper around the place and taking photos of them. I'm sure if we'd left them hanging there people would've assumed they were some kind of minimalist installation.

Discovered they were handing out free donuts downstairs as part of a small 'Fresher's Fayre' event. Spent the afternoon feeling slightly queasy over my keyboard after eating one or two too many of those. Doh!
