There'd been all sorts of dire warnings of extreme weather overnight, but the only evidence at 9:30 this morning was the tail-end of some rain. By that stage it was just a light drizzle, and certainly wasn't enough to deter us from our dog-minding duties. Ozzy got all excited when he saw the lead, and was very well behaved during his toilet ramble.

Carl and I sat down to breakfast after fulfilling the rest of our duties (supervising Ozzy as he vacuumed up a full bowl of his dog food and slurped away at his water), and Ozzy decided to sit and watch with his oh-so-sad-and-neglected eyes. Dave and Alan arrived home not long afterwards, they made sure their dog was still alive, and then it was time for Carl and me to make our way in convoy over to his place to watch the Italian Grand Prix. The start was exciting, Fernando Alonso got to the lead in great style, Sebastian Vettel wasted no time taking back the lead and ran away from everyone else after that. The battle between Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton was exciting stuff, and the first half of the race was good to watch, though it went off the boil after that.

I headed back across town as soon as the race was over, got some work done, watched a bit of TV, listened to some music, caught up with bits and pieces on the internet – and that was it, really.
