This is Val. We tried to get together a few weeks ago to do a shoot for her portfolio. But for reasons that have entirely escaped me now, we dropped the ball and nothing came of it. Then yesterday out of the blue, she wrote me asking if there was a convenient time we could get together for that long forgotten shoot.
She asked if I was afraid of dogs. She had a doberman and would like to bring her along. That was fine with me, I said. (I will admit here, to you fine folk, I am not especially a fan of this breed. But I was not worried about meeting Jules).
It was far, far too cold and wet and windy for our shoot. We would have been better off letting the date go for another time. But it was easy for me to fit into my day and besides, Val was keen.
I tried to include the dog in many of the images. I am in awe of those of you who can photograph pets well. I don't know how you do it. Kudos to you! I'm afraid you'll just have to imagine a large, floppy eared (I liked that feature) doberman jumping and racing about like it was on acid, or something.
