Ready for Harvest

It's been a long year in the pecan groves.  

From mere buds in January to these totally laden trees.  They are so thick, heavy and full of pecans that the branches almost reach the ground.

They will be harvested next week when the machines will go up and down the rows, shaking the trees forcing the nuts to the ground where they will be sucked up, separated, sorted and classified by size and quality and prepared for shipping all over the world.
