Florence's peony

This glorious flower came from my late mother-in-laws garden. I don't know what it is, a very old one I suspect, so it's Florence's peony after her. She was a wonderful woman and we miss her even though it's been many years since she died. I am one of the very fortunate people to have had a wonderful mother and mother-in-law.

It flowers every year. A while ago I had to move it and I broke it up so now I have three plants. If our house is ever fixed after the quakes it will have to be moved again, so I really hope it survives.

There are a lot of memories in my garden.
