Elephant's eye

We enjoyed a tour around Delhi today with Kuldeep the driver employed by Delhi Bed and Breakfast.

We visited the Shanti Stupa in Indraprastha Park. The park is huge and provides a wonderful green space for the people

We also visited the Jama Masjid - the great Mosque in Delhi which sees 25,000 people praying each Friday.

We then visited the Red Fort which covers a huge area and includes a great many beautiful buildings.

We finished the tour at Humayun's Tomb. The architecture of this building was the inspiration for the Taj Mahal.

On the way we met an elephant on the road. We stopped just long enough to say hello and take a few photographs. He was a huge, friendly and gentle beast.

This evening we met up with Geetu Goel and her husband to complete the arrangements for tomorrow's events. It was good to finally meet after the years of correspondence and the months of planning.
