Pomegranate juice vendor
We flew back to Istanbul today for one last day in the country, then back home to Uganda tomorrow!
Turkish food is wonderful. I do love it. But we unfortunately haven't had much variety in food. Each restaurant in our price range seems to have the same basic stuff, and we were getting kebap-ed out. And tomorrow we're heading back to Uganda. Uh...Ugandan food. So guess where we ate lunch today? McDonalds. I know. I can hardly believe it either. I don't even eat McDonalds when I'm in the U.S. In fact, I can't even remember the last time I ate there! But oh, those Mcnuggets were tasty. And lucky me! I even got a few extra! No shame, my friends. No shame.
After lunch I went to a hamam - a Turkish bath house - and got scrubbed down and toasty! What an experience! It could be my favorite thing I've done in Turkey. The bath house has been operating since the 1400's, but as you can imagine, I couldn't take pictures.
So I had few pictures today. On the walk back to our hostel, I snapped this one of a vendor selling some freshly squeezed pomegranate juice.
One more day!
