Heading for the Hills

By Gordon

A Fine Winter,s evening

Another beautiful Blue skies winter,s day however being at work you tend to miss most of it so i made a mad dash for the local fell after work to catch the last hour of sunlight. On approaching the summit the sun was sinking fast in the west throwing up an orange glow that meets the advancing night sky. Clear cool skies boasted a wide coverage of stars above along with the odd Long haul charter flights heading for who knows where. The summit plateau marshs were frozen solid making the walk a lot easier. And the walk on descent became darker prompting the use of the Headtorch to guide me down safely.back home just in time for supper. take care G
