Making an entrance

This is the entrance hall at the recently renovated National Portrait Gallery. Pretty spectacular whichever way you look at it (this shot is taken looking down from the first floor balcony) and the rest of the building is equally impressive.

I'd never visited before but will definitely return. We had Daisy with us today so we spent much of our time chasing after her rather than looking at the pictures. She enjoyed it too but for a very different reason: the huge rooms created a loud echo so she liked to test that out at every opportunity!
