A time for everything

Tatton Park

Wednesday
Our eldest daughter Jen, and her husband, Jason arrived from the States early this morning - Roger and I went to pick them upfrom Manchester airport. We had breakfast together, then went out with Roger's Dad to Frodsham Hill. We just got out of the car and it started to rain, but fortunately it didnt come to much. After lunch, Jason caved into his jet lag and went to bed for the afternoon, but Jen decided to keep going, and so the four of us went to Tatton Park. As we arrived at the park, there was a herd of fallow deer really close to the road, which let us take some photos before moving on. Jen decided to nap in the car, while Roger and I looked round the hall (she's not much into old houses or churches at the best of time), but Roger went back and fetched her to look round the gardens, which were really magnificent - formal gardens, rose garden, wonderful topiary and a beautiful Japanese garden. The day had brightened up into a glorious afternoon just to make everything look even better.
