Shipley Glen

As I was on strike mum & I had a nice wander around Shipley Glen (I used to volunteer at Bracken Hall countryside center many moons ago) before coffee at Glen cafe then a wander around Shipley's numerous charity shops for some book bargains (which included 'Plato & a platypus walk into a bar - Understanding philosophy through jokes').

We bought Benson (a friend who's currently at BRI) some fruit & flowers & Chris cooked him some African food. He was too agitated this morning so they had to sedate him so he was in another world & kept repeating in Botswanan a phrase that translated as "There's an earthquake coming". Eventually the staff said we had to leave as visiting was over. I hope he starts to improve, apparently his operation lasted 9 hours!

Anyway a bittersweet day in all.
