Blue in the sun

Not my mood, although it is very cold in spite of the bright sunshine today and I didn't want to linger too long at the market or taking photos outside, but this collection of blue glass and indigo-dyed fabric. Encouraged by Ceridwen's charming collection the other day I wanted to blip this Turkish eye, said to be protection from the 'evil eye'. This one was my mother's, although she wasn't superstitious, and the indigo-dyed fabric was her work. I bought the glass droplets in the background more recently - here last year.

I'm not superstitious, but I was a bit when I was a teenager and used to wear a bracelet of these eyes (small ones) when I was travelling. Once it broke during a stopover at Frankfurt airport and I was quite worried about the onward flight!
