Ghost town?

Not at all. It's Can Bros (Can means "House").
Right now, there live around 36 people, although in 1920 the population had reached around 700 people.

They lived of the flour mill, and from a paper and a cloth factories. Industrial life was installed there around 1852; mills and factories were settled at the edge of a small river that supplied electricity.

The set is part of what in Catalonia is called The Llobregat Industrial Colonies: a cultural treasure in the middle of the Catalan landscape.

It isn't far from Barcelona. Just 30 minutes in the way to Martorell

In the background, by the way, is a piece of the wonderful mountain of Montserrat.
