Farm Lane on a Misty Morning

It's been quite mild lately, and it rained overnight. I awoke to a misty morning, with wisps rising off the trees.

This is the farmer's field across the road from the pond at Skytop Farm. The lane winds up through the field and disappears into the trees.

I admit it's quite an inviting little lane, which is probably why the astute farmer placed that Private Property sign (which I am guessing says No Trespassing in tiny letters beneath) - to deter easily enchanted passers-by such as myself.

There are black cows all around (no little black calves kicking and playing yet, but SOON!), but none in this shot.

And behind me, the ice is melting on the pond.
