Science Cafe

A very attentive crowd of about 300 residents listens intently to a lecture about Memory and How it Works. The scene is in our Ballroom.

This is part of a monthly series brought to us by the University of Arizona Science College. Dinner is at 5 pm and the lecture starts at 6 pm. Lecturers are Professors and usually Department Heads. Since they are all teachers they know how too keep the crowd awake and interested. We have had talks about The Mars Phoenix Mission, Biology, Stroke Research, Climate and many others

Tonight's Professor is a researcher in studies aimed at learning how the memory operates. He spoke about the history of brain research and about new discoveries and about studies currently at UA.

One key point---the brain works better when the subject gets lots of exercise!!!
