Atlantic Crossing

Arrived at Melfort Pier and Harbour early the previous evening, and today we decided to visit the Isle of Seil.

To get there, you have to cross a very narrow expanse of seawater via this, the rather grandly-named Atlantic Bridge!

The weather was wildly unpredictable, with brilliant sunshine one minute, pounding rain the next. Ellenabeich is a beautiful village on Seil, built solely for the slate industry (and solely of slate). If you ever find yourself there, you should definitely visit the Oyster Brewery Bar - but unless you're massively into kitsch, you should probably avoid The Highland Arts gift shop...
