Eduardo

Eduardo is our young Blonde d'Acquitaine bull we bought last year. We no longer have a Hereford bull although we want to keep the Pedigree Hereford cows. We thought we would cross them with this breed to see whether the beef calves grow into good cattle for market when the time comes. The Blonde breed have been around since the 6C so they must be good!

Here he is in the paddock with a barren cow, there are two with him, to keep him happy as we have taken him out of the herd to get the calving times right for next spring. This will be the last chance for the barren cows who failed to produce a calf this year. Eduardo was sniffing around this cow this evening so hopefully she might get lucky and be saved!
