White fronted tern in full flight

Gorgeous day here, sunny and warm, gold autumn light, hard to know where the best place to go was, but I always seem to gravitate towards birds!

End of the school holidays and the weather has been great for families, we didn't get a summer but we have had a lovely autumn.

White fronted terns are beautiful birds in flight, with huge wings for the size of their bodies, and they are very skillful fliers, and acrobatic in the air.
