Cumbria Here I Come

Wetheral Parish Church

Had to work today near Carlisle and afterwards walked Bonnie along the River Eden in Wetheral. Took lots of photos of the river which was very pretty and overlooks a gorge.

Nearby is the Holy Trinity Church which is an early 16th Century church, with an octagonal tower, in a commanding position overlooking the River Eden. It is said that the Church was formerly dedicated to St Constantine, the only church in England with that dedication (got this bit from internet!)

It was hard to choose which photo to use for my journal and after much deliberation chose the Church (even though the tower is leaning!) which has taken well over an hour with lots of fiddling around to actually upload!!
