This was taken at about 5.30pm. Well blow me down, there's light in the sky and blossom on a cherry tree. Dare we hope that spring has begun?


Edit: did anyone else notice a "worm holocaust" today? I became aware on my walk to the station that literally hundreds of worms had committed hari-kiri on the concrete footpaths in the park. Carla at work had noticed the same, on a different route in a different town. Then Laurinha reported the same phenomenon in her work's carpark - again, in a different place. Weird. Any plausible explanations? I know the weather was a bit wild and 'equinox-ish' over the weekend, but would that bother the worms?
