Clocked

A day of rain. I attempted a small read on the bus but kept drifting off. A consequence of my late night. While one career is drifting to snoozeland, another is starting up. The son has landed some employment which might be longer than a few weeks! In fact, a permie job. No more bashing down plasterboard walls and carrying joists up five storeys. Naw - skilled tradesman (ish) at Edinburgh's exciting new multi-arts festival venue (the old Dick Vet)! He can move out! I can retire again!
This calls for a small celebration.
And the clock is by Chauncey Jerome of New Haven, Connecticut (around 1850). Twas my Granny's down in Kirkcudbrightshire. Has a lovely tick. And equally sonorous tock.
