An early start and a busy day ahead as we are going to the hospital to find out the results of Kai's Tests. I was catching up with the BBC Young Musician of the Year and Kai was transfixed by instruments he'd not seen before. When the Trombonist came out to play, Kai ran off and returned with his pocket cornet (christmas present from his trumpet playing Grandpa! Yes its a real one!. I wasn't so impressed when I saw what was in the box - Kai was delighted!)

It's still a bit too heavy for his little arms but he is surprisingly good a getting notes out of it.
