More calories anyone?

We welcomed in 2015 atop Calton Hill along with a huge horde of others also out enjoying Edinburgh's Hogmanay celebrations. The fireworks were spectacular. Then it was back to the house again for this cheese board - and even more calories. We all tumbled into bed at about 2:00am.

The weather on New Year's 'Day' itself has been dreadful so we have spent most of our time indoors chatting, playing games, and watching Galaxy quest on television. We did, however, manage a quick trip up the road for pre-dinner drinks at Contini. Then it was back to the house again for another feast of cheese and prawn ramekins, boeuf bourguignon, and chocolate torte followed by more games. We are going to miss our guests when they leave tomorrow :-(
