Finial close-up

Thanks so much to those who joined in the fun with my "what is it?" macro yesterday. As you may have seen I've now added the answer to yesterday's blip page; most of you were very close indeed (so maybe I'd better make it harder next time!). It was the tip of a bottle of nose spray which I've been using to combat the symptoms of a cold!

To add to the fun today's blip actually is the finial from a wooden curtain pole. It probably should not quite classify as a true "macro" but I've made it as similar as I can to yesterday's photo. The resemblance is remarkable!  :)
