Bunway Airlines Ready for Takeoff!

It was a day that started and ended with bunnies.

We have TWO bunnies in our yard now. Maybe there were two all along.

One of these rabbits is Mini Bunzini, whom you have already met on these pages. The other is Spot. My husband can tell them apart, or so he says, but so far, I cannot.

Now that it is very cold out, my husband likes to help the bunnies whenever he can. He puts snacks out for them, fresh water too. And he puts peanuts out for the birds, on a little table that is actually a bird comfort station, as it also features water for bathing.

The day began with Mini Bunzini making first contact. My husband was coming out of the house with snacks and Mini-B stepped close, nuzzled his foot, and sniffed his pantleg.

And the day ended with one of the bunnies hopping up into the bird comfort station and eating the birds' peanuts. (For the record, the question of whether bunnies love peanuts has been answered with a resounding YES!)

But in the middle of all of that, there were two bunnies playing in the snow. They were chasing each other and one of them suddenly took flight! My husband says he believes the flying bun is Spot.

Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for choosing to fly Bunway Airlines. Please raise your tails to the upright position. Your flight attendant will serve broccoli and carrots once Pilot Spot gives the all clear.

The song to accompany this photo of a flying rabbit is a favorite, and I know I've used it before, but I can't resist including it here: Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks, with Learning to Fly.
