Marjorie's ramblings

By walkingMarj

A fine day for gardening

I decided not to go walking with the Ramblers today, to give me more time to prepare for Spain.  It proved to be a good decision. Our friend, Pat, had a sudden collapse, just after I had phoned to ask after her.  (Unrelated events I hasten to add!). Bob, her husband, knew I was home so phoned for help. He summoned the ambulance while I drove to their house, just a couple of minutes away.  We managed to get Pat down into the recovery position and she regained consciousness after a few more minutes.

She is now in hospital for tests.

All my camera equipment is on the dining table and I have to decide what to take and what to leave behind. This always challenges me and I always wish I had taken something I leave at home.

This afternoon I did a quick tramp "around the block" which is a couple of miles around the lanes. I met Peter, who was busy dead heading hydrangeas. They do brilliantly in his garden,  whilst most people in the village struggle with them.
