Tolerance

This was my very first blip two and a half years ago, and nothing has changed, not even the expression!  It's that muddy time of year....we are all resigned to it.

Been listening to a great deal of clarinet practice in the last few weeks as Ben has his Grade 7 exam tomorrow.  He's having to take it early as will be in Cambodia at the end of the year. He's worked very hard on the bits he can (pieces and scales) but he's not very confident on the singing and sight reading.

My early musical education has meant I've enjoyed and participated in music stuff all my life though I never got beyond Grade 5.  Obviously I have everything crossed that Ben does well tomorrow.  But, I believe and hope that the things he has learned and enjoyed musically will give him opportunities, pleasures and friendships which are far more important than exam results.
