Sunny Snowdrops

Last year I got Miss E's costume for World Book Day sorted three months early. Three months!!!
Yesterday afternoon I finally thought I'd better do something about getting this year's costumes!
I asked Miss E what her favourite book is and she said The Secret Garden. She reads it every night
A quick search on Amazon for a Victorian girl costume available for next day delivery and order placed.
Miss L I thought could either wear Miss E's Fantastic Mr Fox costume from last year or her Cinderella dress.
This morning Miss L announced she wanted to go as Dora (she bought herself a Dora book at the bring & buy sale the other day!)
Miss E said she'd quite like to go as Astrid out of the How to Train Your Dragon books which she also loves.
I was worrying that the Victorian dress might be bit naff and polyestery and thought I might be able to cobble together an Astrid costume.
So after a lovely few hours at Mrs L's this morning I headed over to Milton Keynes costume hunting!
I went straight to H&M - my go-to shop when emergency costume hunting, It didn't disappoint!
A gorgeous furry gilet, black trousers, a grey t-shirt and a furry black hat.
Astrid sorted.
A pink t-shirt. Dora half sorted!
Next to Primark for orange shorts and a women's size 6 tacky crochet fringed vest thing that I thought would be perfect finishing touch for Astrid. And best of all gorgeous fur lined boots reduced from £18 to £3. In Miss E's size. Woohoo!
Bargains in hand I went to school to pick up Miss L for swimming. Miss E had got changed for her after school sports club but when she saw me decided she'd rather come home as she's still not 100%
After swimming we went home to try on the costumes.
Naturally Miss E went for the Victorian dress and Miss L wanted the Fantastic Mr Fox outfit.
So I needn't have gone to Milton Keynes at all and it can all go back tomorrow!
Apart from the furry gilet which Miss E has fallen in love with!!
