Was It Really So Long Ago

Blackthorn

There was a lack of enthusiasm for getting out of the house in certain quarters this morning. Beloved was due to return from her overnight stay away at around lunchtime and the girls had decided cycling in the morning would be most welcome. Miss C found that dressing independently was quite doable, whereas her elder sibling Miss I decided it would be a task best delayed by procrastination; copious amounts of diversionary activity involving anything and everything expect getting dressed.

We did eventually manage to venture out of the house with bicycles and en route I found these small flowers growing on a small tree. I think they're Blackthorn, but I can't be sure.

After cycling for the girls (Master H was having another fresh air afternoon snooze in his push chair) I needed to do some recycling before a visit to Colchester. It was quite a busy rest day on reflection.
