Cabo De Gata, Nijar

As the weather is so beautiful and Al has no practice today, we decided to have a trip out.

We set off to Cabo de Gata, National Park, Nijar which is a good hour in the car.   It is an incredibly hot for the time of year, 24 degrees this afternoon.   I was surprised to see so many on the beach and in the sea!

A coffee stop on the way, on to the Lighthouse looking down into the crystal clear sea, then a drive to San Jose for lunch.

The area here is one of outstanding beauty, diverse bird and wildlife, with public hides for viewing, high clifftops and clear water on sandy beaches.   Especially on a day like today.

I have tried to show the diversity of the area in my blip today.   A windmill, looking down on the sea, typical terrain and vegitation and the old winches for pulling out the fishing boats, which are still in use.
