Flower Friday

Thank goodness for all that rain - the native flowers are starting to emerge now, and it's wonderful to see them.  The weather was so gorgeous this afternoon we took time out for a walk around the lake; it's Mishy's favourite too.

I thought this was Corymbia ficifolia (they used to be eucalyptus ficifolia, but they changed the name), but I've changed my mind on account of the leaves were different.  These Eucalyptus species are a nightmare to ID.  But they are so pretty and makes lovely garden trees.  The birds, bees and butterflies adore them.
