"God Save The Queen"

This royal throne of kings, this sceptered isle, this earth of majesty, this seat of Mars, this other Eden, demi-paradise,
This fortress built by Nature for her self, this infection and the hand of war, this happy breed of men, this little world, this precious stone set in a silver sea, which serves it in the office of a wall, or as a moat defensive to a house, against the envy of less happier lands, this blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England. - Richard ll

The reasons why we love our Home country's are as diverse as the people who live there. Yet to hear Her recite the above with HONEST to God tears in her eyes, brought the same to my own. The fact that She truly feels those words to be Truth is both admirable and (if spoken by someone else, to be honest) weird!!

It's really difficult to explain, yet profound in it's uniqueness, The unashamedly sincere love for England and all things therein, She harbours. All I know is this, as undoubtedly "wonderful" life is here in San Francisco, and it is, it's not her "beloveth" England

And so return we shall

(The disappearing waters pictured here are from the Sacramento River Delta this morning, man were we stunned to realize how bad this "water crisis" actually is!)
