Random Robin

I don't have a bird table or feeders and I haven't enticed this robin with mealworms or other tasty titbits. It was singing its heart out and seemed so trusting and let me get very close. Maybe it was warning me off with its song like it would do to robin rivals?

As I edged closer it cocked its head when it heard the chirrup of my autofocus. I'm wondering if it was responding to this sound? I'm convinced that grasshoppers and crickets do.

I have read that proper bird photographers disable their autofocus beeps. It is unusual for me to shoot a bird head on, I think they look a bit weird from this angle. :)
