The ceiling decorations at the National Academy of Sciences is dedicated to science (the rotating text). Gave a presentation at the symposium in that building today, and our group was given the oppotunity to use the board room for the breakout session. That room has a large painting illustrating the foundation of the academy on its wall, including President Lincoln. Today 150 years ago he was shot at the Ford Theatre here in Washington D.C.
