Ideford Common

It's been a lovely clear afternoon and this evening I went up to Ideford Common to have a mooch around. The first thing I heard when I got out of the car was a cuckoo calling from not too far away. 

There are lovely views from the ridge up towards Dartmoor. It looks very peaceful but I have to own up that the main Torquay road is just below us and at this time of day there's a constant sound of the traffic. I loved the beautiful new green leaves with the sun lighting them up so I took my shot to make the most of them. There's some rotten weather coming in tomorrow but it sounds as though it'll pass through quite quickly. Here's hoping anyway.
