Mono Monday 70 - Sharp

Sharp   noun      1. a long, sharply pointed needle used for general sewing.
So many options for today's mono Monday theme, kindly hosted this month by JDO.
My first thought was lemons and knife (sharp x 2 meanings) but this option was snapped up early by JDO herself so further thinking was required: it came down to the musical interpretation or needlecraft, the second of which seemed the easier to blip.
I have in my picture, to accompany the sharp, some Sylko cotton thread that must be at least 40 years old and an ancient thimble which has  clearly had many years' service protecting fingers from the sharp pain of a stab from countless  sewing needles!

In other news: Violet has been staying with us for a few days: as she enters her Birthday Month I plan to update her journal just as soon as I get a moment.
