Day at a Time

Battening down the hatches

While blippers in the south of England are enjoying the heatwave we're being pounded by gales and heavy rain here. Surely these Atlantic lows will be driven away soon.

Made one of my regular trips to the garden centre today with three of my friends. The routine is to buy our plants then go for coffee and a bacon roll at the Boathouse by the Auchinstarry Marina at Kilsyth. Here are some of the canal boats. There was a family of swans and cygnets being fed by one of the boat dwellers. Greedy!

Came home and went straight into the garden to plant what I'd bought. If I don't do it right away I can guarantee I'll forget to do it. At least they're being watered in! And the sun is peeping through so they'll get a bit of warmth too.
