Mountain Laurel

This is a closeup of the flower of the Mountain Laurel, Pennsylvania's state flower.  

Mr M and I went on a ride today with 350 other riders on all terrain vehicles - it is a ride sponsored by a local hospital to raise money for cancer research.  We rode up and down hills, through a creek, over rocks. and all kinds of obstacles through the woods.  The mountain laurel was everywhere and it is just lovely. The day ended with a dinner of sandwiches, salads, and cake.
