The Royal Poinciana Tree

We planted this tree some 29 months ago. Look how skinny it was - I blipped it Jan 24, 2013.  That was back before we had the grass ripped out, and ground cover and gardens planted instead - Thank you Ann Hall! 

Do you notice the bright orange near the top of the tree?? This is the first time it has bloomed. Whoo Hoo! I LOVE these trees and have been waiting for this. I'll add a closer view of the blooms as an "extra" photo. : 0)
