'Look Mum I'm a Penguin !'

Had a wonderful day exploring the Brahan Estate with Julie. Lots of fun ,chat and Laughter.
We took Beinn, the dog , with us and I think he enjoyed it just as much sniffing around and eating grass.
We walked through the azaleas and Rhodies that were still in full bloom and had nt been spoilt by the rain.
We found the swan family on the bank at the edge of the pond . Mum and babies and Dad swimming in the middle. They have grown a lot since I saw them last but just as cute.
The tatties in the fields had also grown a lot and the fields of wheat and barley. Must return later in the year when it turns golden.
I managed to get a photo of the bird that I had seen flitting about the other week as it landed on the standing stone. It was a fly catcher.
We walked down to the River Conon. It must have been a fishermans meet as there was a group of gentleman clad in tweeds and greens redy for an afternoon fishing after their lunch. We thought that they must have been having an elaborate lunch with Salmon and soft cheese and beef and horseradish sandwiches with no crust and tasty homemade whisky cake, rather than a cheese sarnie and kitkat :)
We sat on the bench and watch a Red Kite flying overhead. A woodpecker was busy on the nuts by the fishermans huts. Julie tried to take photos of Beinn but he just wanted cuddles. He's such a sweet natured dog and he made us laugh. He's not a poser .
On the way back we could hear and then spotted a small family of wrens. I wonder if their nest as in the old stonewall .
We finished our Wild adventure with a jacket potato in Fortrose Café.

It was actually a warm day , overcast but dry and the sun is really trying to shine
