wildflower meadow

met up with some fellow blippers  (I'll add links once I'm more awake) to seek out the wildflowers in Heartswood Forest, near St. Albans.  There were some lovely flowers including fields full of oxeye daisies but very few poppies to be seen. Not sure if we're too early, too late or there just weren't that many here this year.   The butterflies were a bit too fast but I liked how this one matched the flowers! Have added some extras including one of June Fox ,who organised the day, looking amused as she'd just seen what the bugs were up to on the flower, maybe she'll blip them for us!
My camera was off photographing Prince Andrew today, not me just the camera! So these were taken with my old camera and compact.
