Pictorial blethers

Three generations summit ...

Vile phrase, eh? "To summit". But it makes for s snappier title for a blip that says that today my son and my granddaughter climbed with me to the summit of Goatfell (2,800') on Arran. It is 62 years since my father took me on the same climb; since then I've reached this point more than 25 times by various routes.

Tonight I may tell all my bones, but I'm so happy to have seen another generation discover this wonderful world, where the winds drive the clouds over the tops and the crows squawk below the ridge.

And I survived to celebrate our wedding anniversary - 45 years of doing it our way!
